Freedom Powerwash was founded by Christopher Dugan, a Kingston-area homeowner and exterior cleaning specialist with roots in the Hudson Valley trades going back more than 25 years.

Christopher's introduction to exterior cleaning came while working alongside his uncle Shane at Scoville Painting, a Hudson Valley painting company that has served local homeowners for over four decades. Preparing homes for exterior paint jobs taught Christopher something most power washers never learn: how the condition of a surface before cleaning, and the method used to clean it, directly affects how long paint adheres, how well siding holds up, and how a home weathers the Hudson Valley's wet, heavily shaded seasons.

That hands-on foundation is what separates Freedom Powerwash from companies that simply show up with a pressure washer and a trailer. Christopher learned early that high-pressure washing can force water behind siding, strip protective coatings, and accelerate the very deterioration homeowners are trying to prevent. It's why Freedom Powerwash uses soft washing methods exclusively for roofs, siding, and painted surfaces, not as a marketing claim, but because Christopher has seen firsthand what improper cleaning does to a home over time.
